Riding the Waves of Transition

Life often presents us with opportunities to elevate ourselves and choose something that would be in our higher good. If we choose to align with our higher selves and energy, we end up experiencing dramatic shifts that lead to a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Keeping a "high vibe" state isn't easy for many of us. All of the negative feelings associated with our ego can get the best of us - whether it's fear, a lack of faith or addictions to living in a way that isn't serving us well.

It's even harder to embrace a higher way of being when you're in a period of transition - you know the old isn't working for you anymore yet the new has not yet arrived. However, because you attract what you are, it is important to assume the feeling of what you'd like to be by believing wholeheartedly that you can accomplish your desires.

Here are some signs of recognizing that you're experiencing a shift in consciousness that can lead to change:
- some relationships that may have once worked for you will begin to fall away
- you become disengaged with what normally held your attention
- you start to crave new experiences that are unlike what you would have done before
- you feel the need to shift your outer environment (such as your home or workplace) or your inner environment (such as your diet and physical body)

The feeling of wanting to do these things may at first be subtle, but will gradually grow to the point of occupying your mind more and more. In my experience, embracing it earlier makes for a much smoother transition ride.

The chakras that you can focus on to assist you with transition are:

1) The Third-Eye Chakra - this energy center plays an important role in providing you with insight about what living authentically means for you

2) The Solar Plexus Chakra - this energy center helps you to take action to create change in your life

3) The Root Chakra - this energy center often needs extra attention during times of transition because it is affected by feelings of instability and insecurity. The best way to focus on nourishing this chakra is by keeping a healthy diet and lifestyle. When balanced, you will feel comfortable in adapting to change.

You can work with an energy healer or you can listen to guided chakra meditations to keep these energy centers in a balanced state. By doing so, you can minimize any feelings of discomfort and create change at a manageable pace.

Enjoy riding the waves of transition!

“ There are things in life where your soul gets ripped apart but you can mend it, you can see it in a different way, you can move through that experience with grace. ” – Bryce Dallace Howard

There are things in life where your soul gets ripped apart but you can mend it, you can see it in a different way, you can move through that experience with grace.
– Bryce Dallace Howard

I recently watched Bryce Dallace Howard’s interview with Marie Forleo and loved when she said that. It resonated with me because alongside my own challenges, I have seen others in my life, including my beautiful clients, encounter challenges that have really made them feel broken, depressed, and dysfunctional.

Healing soul trauma involves understanding the ways in which your soul has been fragmented through certain experiences that have in turn, left you to acquire limiting beliefs and emotions that perpetuate a negative story within your psyche. This of course, creates an energetic imbalance that only attracts more of the same experience as opposed to something new that is in alignment with who you can be at your highest potential.

To illustrate the concept of soul trauma better, consider a relationship break-up as an example. Most people are familiar with or can imagine the pain that can be caused by this experience. It can lead to all sorts of feelings – anger, sadness, frustration, etc. Let’s say you were rejected – that can lead you to acquire the self-limiting belief of not being good enough. At this point, think about the damage done to your energy system – your heart chakra and astral field are already out of whack, as is your sacral chakra and emotional body. Add in the self-limiting belief, and your solar plexus and mental body takes a hit as well.

The way to correct these imbalances in energy healing is to conduct a soul retrieval – the idea being that the parts of yourself that were whole, complete and functional were left behind at the moment of the traumatic experience and must be retrieved. This isn’t something that energy healers can do by themselves – it is very much a collaborative effort with the person seeking healing, that involves the person facing their experiences from the past and identifying what self-limiting beliefs and emotions have been acquired as a result of those experiences. Then the person has to change the negative story playing in their psyche (i.e. I am not good enough) to a positive one (i.e. I am good enough but wasn’t valued by that person, so there is someone out there that will value me for who I am). This entire process can occur through self-reflection, introspection, or work with a professional such as a therapist.

The energy healer has the job of sending healing energy to assist with releasing repressed emotions and beliefs as a result of the traumatizing experience and reversing the damage done to the energy fields. People often have greater self-awareness after getting energy healing done – there is clarity that helps them to better identify the source of their problems and a positive outlook that provides them with the desire to move forward in a new direction.

Once the person reaches this point, the healing will begin to take effect and the person will begin to overcome their negative story and attract more positive experiences.

Moving Through Trauma With Grace
I have been thinking a lot about the nature of grace recently and I am starting to appreciate it more and more. It is often said that how a person weathers their storm is reflective of their character and I have always admired those who have handled their challenges with grace.

Upon encountering challenges, it’s very easy to turn to escapist behaviour, including addictions, which is why it’s important from an energy healing perspective to also focus on keeping the solar plexus strong (this is the center of willpower) and sacral chakra (the center of emotions, which feed addictions or co-dependent behaviours). Without these energy centers staying strong, a person can resort to avoiding having to deal with their challenges instead of overcoming them in a healthy way.

It is also important to heal the crown chakra, which is the center of faith. When you realize that everything happens for a reason, even if you can’t see it in the present moment, you are trusting a divine intelligence that is at work for your own personal growth, spiritual development, and higher good. Trust in this intelligence can fast-track your recovery, especially if you choose to stay connected with this higher energy through your challenges. This is perhaps the most difficult part of healing soul trauma, for it is often difficult to keep the faith when you feel like you have been victimized and it’s often a shift in perspective or spiritual understanding that can assist in this regard.

While the process of healing soul trauma can be difficult and take time, it can change a person’s being and life, which makes it well worth the effort.

Happy soul healing!

Empower Yourself Through Your Free Will & Destiny
EmpowerYourselfFreeWill.jpg

The solar plexus is the energy center that is associated with free will, empowerment and choice.

The crown chakra is the energy center that is associated with your life purpose and divine plan.

In order to feel like you are living your life purpose while being aware of the choices you have and making the best ones, both of these energy centers must be balanced and work in tandem with one another.

Perhaps you are destined to be a writer but the form that may take can differ according to the choices you make. For instance, you may be the author of novels or a journalist for a newspaper or a policy developer for the government. With a strong crown chakra and solar plexus you will know which choice will be best for you.

Alongside your career choices, an awareness of your life purpose and your free will can also influence relationship outcomes. When you are living in integrity and alignment with your purpose, you are more likely to choose a partner that will respect it and have values similar to your own, which can result in you choosing the best person for yourself in the long term.

Developing this self awareness allows you to approach your life from a place of empowerment instead of victimization. When you choose to live in alignment with your life purpose you are committing to being your very best. You also begin to appreciate how creative you can get with your life choices and that you are truly not as constrained as you may think.

As a result, while free will and destiny might seem like an inherently contradictory partnership, they very much operate together to create a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Happy self empowerment! 🙂
